A full detail is the whole car done properly, inside and out, in one visit: a safe wash and decontamination outside, a deep clean of the seats, carpets, plastics and glass inside, and protection on the paint so it stays clean. The difference from a valet is depth. A valet makes a car clean; a detail restores it, going into the vents, seams, door shuts, wheel barrels and the boot, and usually includes a machine polish to bring the gloss back. There are three levels below, from a thorough full valet to an enhancement detail with a one-stage polish, so you pay for what the car needs. Nick does full details at the Dock Road studio in Connah's Quay, and much of the work can be done at your home or workplace across Deeside, Chester and Wrexham. Vans and 7-seaters are welcome and priced by size.

All prices are from prices by vehicle size, confirmed once Nick has seen the car: every car is different. Mobile work: the first 10 miles are free, then 30p a mile.
The words get used loosely, and around here most people search for valeting. A valet is a thorough clean: washed, hoovered, wiped, glass done, tyres dressed. A detail goes further in two ways. It goes deeper into the places a valet does not reach, and it corrects and protects rather than only cleaning, with a decontamination of the paint, a machine polish, and a sealant or coating.
If the car is in decent condition and you want it clean, book a valet. If it has lost its gloss, has swirls, stained seats or years of grime in the vents, a detail is the right job.
Larger vehicles are priced by size rather than turned away. Work vans get the same inside-and-out treatment, with the load area cleaned as far as it is safe to, and 7-seaters get all three rows. Campervans and motorhomes depend on size and access; send a photo and the make and model first.
A full detail is done at the studio in Connah's Quay, because the machine polish and the protection need power, shade and proper lighting, and the car has to stay dry while it cures. If the car only needs cleaning inside and out, a full valet can be done at your home or work instead.

Questions
A full valet takes most of a morning or an afternoon. An enhancement detail with a machine polish is usually a full day, and a detail with a ceramic coating can be longer because the coating needs time to cure indoors. You are told the time when you book.
A full detail once or twice a year, usually before and after winter, with regular exterior washes in between, keeps most cars in very good condition. A coated car needs the full detail less often, because it stays clean between washes.
Usually, yes. A clean, glossy car photographs better, looks cared for at a viewing and is easier to sell. An interior deep clean and a one-stage enhancement are the two jobs that make the most visible difference for the money.
Yes, priced by size. Send the make and model, and a photo of the load area if you want that cleaned too.
