Nick cleans commercial vehicles as well as cars: panel vans, high-roof vans and minibuses, and lorries for a truck hire company. The work is done on site, at your yard, depot or business car park, because the van carries its own water, power and equipment. The outside gets a proper pre-wash and hand wash, with an iron fallout remover that dissolves the rust-coloured specks white vans pick up from brakes and the road, then the wheels and arches. Cabs are cleaned inside: floors, seats, dashboard and glass. It suits one-off cleans before a vehicle is sold or handed back at the end of a lease, and regular visits for a small fleet. All prices are from prices by vehicle size, confirmed once Nick has seen the car: every car is different. Mobile work: the first 10 miles are free, then 30p a mile.
Brake dust and rail and road dust carry tiny particles of iron. They land on the paint, rust, and bond to the clear coat, which is why a white van gets a rash of orange specks that a normal wash does not shift. An iron fallout remover dissolves them chemically, so the paint comes clean without being scrubbed. On a van that has not had it done for a while, the difference is obvious.
Lease companies inspect vans when they are handed back, and a dirty vehicle hides damage the inspector will want to see and can be marked down on condition. A thorough clean, inside and out, before the return makes the inspection fair and quick. The same clean before selling a van helps it photograph well and sell for what it is worth.
