Honest limits
What you will be told before you pay
Part of doing the job properly is saying what it will not do. These are the things customers hear up front rather than after the work.
- A scratch that catches a fingernail is probably through the clear coat. Polishing may not remove it safely, and it may need paint.
- A ceramic coating does not stop stone chips. It makes washing easier and keeps the gloss; paint protection film is what stops chips.
- Mould comes back if the water getting into the car is not fixed first, so the leak is found before the clean.
- Some old stains only lighten. Most come out; some dyes and drinks do not, and you are told which is likely.
- If a valet will do, you are not sold a detail.
